DIVISION COORDINATOR

General Description of Role and Responsibility:

• Assist registration committee as required, assist in the evaluation process of Players as required.
• Work with coaches in assessing and recommending seeding round positions for teams.
• Ensure clear and direct communication with Second Vice President.
• Monitor teams and coaches to ensure that Association By-laws and Hockey Calgary rules and policies are followed.
• Track all injuries and suspensions of Players in the division and report the same to the Second Vice President and Appeals Coordinator.
• Communicate any Player or coach suspension to the Referee Coordinator.
• Provide coaches with proper application forms for coaching certificates.
• Ensure that coaches have appropriate coaching and/or first aid certification.
• Ensure that all teams have proper team management in accordance with the Association policies and Hockey Calgary.
• Act as a liaison with parents and Players to address concerns during the hockey season.
• Represent the Association at any meetings sponsored by Hockey Calgary, the Alberta Amateur Hockey Association for the Canadian Hockey Association for such division.
