Hello Members of the Hockey Calgary Community,

 

It is at this time of year we have found it to be an appropriate time to have all reminded of the Fair Play Code and Fair Play Policies found in our Hockey Calgary By-Laws and Playing Rules (Black Book).  These are the codes and the rules that we have all endorsed and have committed to making sure all of our participants abide by and follow.  The code and policies are found starting on page 72 in the Hockey Calgary By-Laws and Playing Rules book in the hard copy or on line at www.hockeycalgary.com.  To make things really easy Please read the attached links below of the specific code and policies being referenced.

 

We believe we have made tremendous strides in the "Respect" category with the Respect in Sport initiative.  The Fair Play Code and Policies are truly the foundation of this direction and totally support "Respect" in the broader category reaching out to all stakeholders; Players, Parents, Coaches and Officials. 

 

Unfortunately, as the season progresses we find that our stakeholders need a gentle reminder of their commitment to the Fair Play Code and Policy.  Specifically, Coaches in all our streams of Hockey need to understand and be governing themselves in accordance with these documents in mind.  To that end, please distribute the code and policy to all members in your association as a reminder and confirmation of their commitment.
